Multiplayer

💡

Multiplayer is a Pro feature of DesignHub. If you follow the guide below on what multiplayer is and how to set it up, you will be prompted to upgrade your team.

In this section, we'll go over how to setup multiplayer for your team and exactly what you can do with multiplayer.

Collaborative editing is built into the core of DesignHub. This means that whatever you're able to edit in your design system (design tokens, documentation, etc.), anyone else can edit that content with you collaboratively and in realtime.

Option 1: Team management page

The easiest way to setup multiplayer is to use the team management page. This page is where you can invite people to your workspace and manage your team.

In the DesignHub platform, you can navigate to your team management page by clicking on the avatar icon in the sidebar. Here, you can update your team member roles, invite new members, and more.

Option 2: Invitation modal

In the DesignHub platform, click on the "+" button in the header to add members to your team. This provides a similar invitation experience to the team management page without the ability to update and remove members.

Invitation links

Invitation links provide a convenient way to invite multiple people to your team. Once you click on the "Invite link" button, you will be presented with a link that anyone can use to sign up and join your team automatically.

Keep in mind that invitation links contain a password, and should be treated with care. You can rotate the password in the invitation link by clicking "Reset link". Please note that this will invalidate all existing links.
